Fall Brings New Beginnings

It's been a busy start to the fall season. My girls are busy with college and Jr. High. And my Vegas friend decided to move back to California. Very shocking to me to say the least. He called me on his move here saying he was done with Vegas and wanted to be back in Cali, which he is originally from. He also informed me that he was "moving here for me". Ok? He must be kidding, right?
Anyway, my friend and I ran the Long Beach Half marathon on Oct. 17th and that was awesome. Finished in 2 hours and 10 mins. Months prior I had invited Mr. Vegas friend to come to Long Beach to watch the race. Little did I know he actually would show up at the finish line waiting for me. Now I do have to say, I thought that was pretty awesome. No one does that. My own sisters won't even go to one of my races. So we hung out with my friend and her husband and a few other friends and we watched football at a local bar down by the race. We had lots of fun and he got along well with everyone. Since we both had cars in Long Beach, we left about the same time to head home and just followed each other. We decided to stop off at a burger place once we got back to our home town. We ate and had good conversation. He is a really fun person and seems to get all my quirks. And doesn't mind my flaws or least he didn't seem to be repulsed by my sweatyness at the racing finishing line.
I really am intrigued by Mr. Vegas. We have been friends for many years now and we both know quite a bit about each others past, both good and bad. We always have had great conversations but now that he is here, it somewhat changes the dynamic.
Life is always throwing stuff at you and the only thing we can control is how we react to it.

Well that was FUN

Vegas trip was very uneventful. That is not the word I prefer to use when recalling my Vegas weekend. I like words like "bananas" and "out of control" and maybe even "fun". Oh alright, I'm being my normal braty self. Vegas was alright. I guess when your boyfriends sister marries a guy old enough to be her father you can't expect too much excitement. Again, very braty of me and so rude. We layed by the pool, had some cocktails. Gambled a bit. And the highlight was the Flamingo showgirls shakin their little booties topless. Thrilling. Not a single chick even had boobs to shake so it really was rather boring. But now I can say "I have been to a real Vegas show". Whoopeeee!!!!
But I do like Mr. Blind Date. Atleast for right now. The little quirks that we all have, well, his are startin to bug. Back to the I don't know/maybe/maybe not the one, questions in my head.
Chat later.

Vegas with Mr. Blind Date

It's the end of July and perfect weather to go to Vegas. Mr. Blind Date and his sister and her husband and I are heading off to Vegas for a fun weekend. Things are still moving right along with this guy. He is very genuinely sweet to me. It's a nice change from the junk I dated in the past. But let's see how he acts in a place that screams out "sex" and tons of "nudity". Will he get jealous and be all over me or relax and not let his insecurities get the best of him. Don't worry, I'm not gonna go to any extremes to put this guy to the test. But confidence is a big plus when it comes to my physical and emotional attraction to a man. And I need to see him in action.
Let the games begin, Vegas style. :)

Vegas Recap

Vegas was great. My daughters team got 1st place and National Champs. She did awesome. I got to have a drink with my friend from high school and chit chatted about life and how old we are getting. The weather was alright. You know I would of had tons more fun if it would have been scorching HOT and I could have lounged by the pool. (dreaming). Anyway, my friend couldn't make it for a drink. Honestly, not all that surprised. We have good conversation but like I said "not interested". Then why do I get the feeling sometimes that he is??? Hmmmmm?
So that was Vegas. Good to be home.

Vegas & Cheer

So I am heading off to Vegas for the weekend. You know me, such the party animal. Actually going for my daughters All-Star Cheerleading National Competition. Which makes for a lot of big hair, glittery make-up, and way too many cheer moms that are attempting to live out their dreams through their daughters. Sounds like a whole lot of fun! Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching my beautiful daughter perform and give it her best, but the idea of adult fun this weekend is not on the agenda. Oh, I forgot. I will get to meet up with my cheerleading friend and her husband from high school. Both of her daughters are on another team that will be there as well. And possible a cocktail with a guy friend who lives in Vegas. He and I have been friends for 5 years now. He's nice to talk with but totally unavailable and not interested in me. So don't go getting the wrong idea. I better get to packing. Chat soon.

Up to Speed

The way it ended with Music boy went a little something like "he ran off to Vegas and got hitched"... Really ? I know. Totally shocker. Was I that blind during the whole dating experience or what. Chalk it up to bad timing. Actually, I'm better without that one. He was too dull and boring for such a hyper chick like me. But why would he NOT want to be with me?? The only thing that got hurt in this relationship was my Ego, and I have 1 less friend on MySpace... Yes, he Deleted me.. Lame.
